Information this site collects
ProductCamp Vancouver uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use this website. Google Analytics may collect information such as pages visited, interactions, referral source, approximate location, and device or browser details. It also uses first-party cookies or similar identifiers to distinguish visits. We use this information in aggregate to improve the website and do not use it for advertising.
Google explains how it handles information in its Privacy Policy. You can limit this collection by blocking analytics cookies or scripts in your browser.
Standard hosting logs may also temporarily record technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, and request time for security and reliability.
Community programme accounts
When the community sessions system is active, you sign in with your email address. We use that verified identity to protect vote integrity and connect you with your own proposals, votes, facilitator confirmations, and personal schedule. We do not publish participant email addresses or individual choices.
If you propose a session, we collect the proposal content, facilitator name, brief bio, LinkedIn profile, headshot, contact email, and any accessibility, equipment, or room requirements you choose to share. Your idea and facilitator profile stay private while they are awaiting review. If the proposal is approved, its content and facilitator name, bio, LinkedIn profile, and headshot may be displayed publicly on the ballot, programme, and schedule. Contact details and private requirements remain available only to authorized organizers.
Community votes and personal schedule choices are planning signals, not seat reservations. Aggregate vote patterns help reduce schedule conflicts and match sessions to suitable rooms. Essential emails may include submission receipts, moderation feedback, selection decisions, sign-in links, schedule publication, cancellations, and material schedule changes.
External services
Eventbrite remains the registration and ticket provider. We copy only the attendee details needed to confirm programme eligibility—such as normalized email, name, registration status, and provider identifiers—and regularly reconcile them with Eventbrite. Programme data and secure email sign-in are processed using Supabase, and essential programme email may be delivered using Resend. Eventbrite, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, sponsor websites, email, and maps are operated under their own privacy policies. Embedded YouTube videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain, but playing a video may still connect your browser to YouTube.
Your choices and retention
You can remove votes and personal schedule choices while the relevant event phase is open. You can also edit or withdraw a proposal while submissions are open. To request access, correction, or deletion of your programme information after a phase closes, contact Stewart. Some limited records may be retained where reasonably required for event administration, security, or legal obligations; otherwise participant-level programme data will be deleted or anonymized after it is no longer needed.

If you contact an organizer by email, the information you send is used to respond to your inquiry and coordinate ProductCamp activities. Do not send sensitive information through ordinary email.
